Ethnotek Bags founder Jake Orak set to launch new book (and talk) Threads Of Change: Weaving Traditional Art & Modern Business at ISPO 2024. Ethnotek is like no other brand at ISPO. This purpose-driven social enterprise collaborates with artisans in Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam to combine traditional handmade textiles with high-tech bags and backpacks. From its initial idea in 2007 to over US$10 million in revenue, 150,000 customers, and 500 artisan partners in 5 countries in 2024, Ethnotek has proved that profit, purpose, traditional handmade textiles, and modern business can not only co-exist but can co-create a brighter future. The week of ISPO will be Ethnotek’s 14th anniversary, and to celebrate, their founder and head designer Jake Orak will launch a book (and talk of the same name) at the show called: Threads of Change: Weaving Traditional Art & Modern Business.
